At 451 meters the Petronas Twin Towers are the highest buildings in the world. This marvel and steel company is owned by the company Petronas and can be found in the center of Malaysia`s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Security is extremely tough and the towsers have always considered to be an impenetrable fortress.
It took more than two months of intensive preparation to realise the jump. Felix Baumgartner watched the building closely for days, studying the security guards, then faking their name tags.
Disguised as a businessman, concealing his parachute and camera in a briefcase, he made it to the 88th floor, on the 15th of April 1999. After climbing up a window-cleaning crane to his final jumping-off point, he leaped into the jump of his life: 8 seconds of freefall at over 170 km/h down the face of the world`s tallest building. It was definitely an experience that Felix will never forget, and the pictures helped him to skyrocket to fame worldwide.
